SERVICES

These Conditions explain the rights, obligations and responsibilities of both Aster Luxury Goods and you, the Customer, in relation to the Services to be provided by Aster Luxury Goods. Aster Luxury Goods undertakes to exercise the utmost care in processing articles entrusted to us and use such processes which, in our opinion, are best suited to the nature and condition of each individual article. However, Aster Luxury Goods cannot assume responsibility for the inherent weakness of, or defects or stains that are not readily apparent prior to processing. This applies particularly, but not exclusively, to suede, nubuck and leather.

OUR SERVICES

Aster Luxury Goods reserves the right to refuse services to any customer or reject any item.

CLEANING

To keep the authenticity of your items, we will not undertake any cleaning of the materials sent in for the bespoke design service. We will take every step to use the best parts of the material sent in, however, we cannot always disguise natural flaws or defects that are already in existence.

All items are therefore only accepted by us for work at your own risk.

TIMESCALES

Our estimated service turnaround time is 4 – 6 weeks depending on what services have been requested.

Aster Luxury Goods, however, cannot be held responsible for delays to the service caused by unforeseen circumstances or additional requirements.

PRICING & PAYMENT

All payments are handled by Aster Luxury Goods. Once received by Aster Luxury Goods your items will be assessed and the work required confirmed.

All work will be agreed with the customer prior to any work taking place. All items must be fully paid before the item is dispatched from yourself into Aster Luxury Goods. Our system notes a record of orders made and this will be deemed evidence of contact with you. We do not store credit card details nor do we share financial details with any 3rd parties.

LIABILITY

We will cover your Item(s) in the event that they are lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair in circumstances beyond our control,  during the time that we receive the item and the item is returned to yourself.  You are insured up to the full value of the product purchased, minus the cost of any services provided.

Items in our care are:
– Any item currently having our services carried out or waiting for our services to be carried out and paid.
– Any item in transit with our Courier.
– Any item dispatched by us to you.

EXCLUSIONS TO LIABILITY

Aster Luxury Goods offer a repurposing service and sometimes items may be sent to us in a damaged and/or devalued state. We cannot be held liable for:
– Any damage to, or defect in, an item which we have not yet received
– Delays or failures which are due to any cause beyond our reasonable control.
– Failed repairs due to inherent problems within the material or structure of the item – please note that charges may still apply for any work already completed.
– Any damage which is not related to or caused by our services.

If an item is repurposed in line with the design specification detailed on the site, Aster Luxury Goods will not pay compensation for anything that falls outside the work we provide.

GUARANTEE

We guarantee our labour and materials for a period of 3 months after work has been completed providing that the item has been maintained under normal use. Hardware repairs and stitching are guaranteed only under normal use. If Aster Luxury Goods feel that at any time the item has been misused within this period, the guarantee will be null and void.

COMPLAINTS

You must notify us of any problem or complaint you have with the workmanship on the Item(s) within seven days of you receiving the Item(s).

We cannot accept returns or requests for refunds on the basis of the customer’s change of heart. We cannot accept returns or requests for refunds where a change to an order had been requested and that change could not be fulfilled.

We will not be liable for any damage to – or deterioration of/in – the item resulting from inappropriate use/misuse of the Item following delivery of the order. If we are found to be at fault we will endeavour to repair and/or alter the Item to your satisfaction at our cost. In all circumstances, this will be the first course of action. Where the item has to be returned to us for this purpose, we will reimburse your costs of dispatch with evidence of a valid receipt/invoice.

If the fault is through misuse or customer liability any work to rectify the fault will be at your own cost.

Any claim settled will be on the condition that it is accepted by the customer as a full and final settlement.

Aster Luxury Goods keep photographic records of all bespoke work before and after the work has been carried out.

PRICING & PAYMENT

Payments are handled by Aster Luxury Goods website. Once received by Aster Luxury Goods your items will be assessed and the work required confirmed. All work will be agreed with the customer prior to any work taking place.

Payment for bespoke work or non-bespoke items must be fully paid at point of order. Our system notes a record of emails sent and/or telephone messages left and this will be deemed evidence of contact with you.

LIABILITY

Whilst your item is in transit from yourself to Aster Luxury Goods, Aster Luxury Goods will not be liable for any loss or damage to your item. Once your item has been received and is in our care you are insured up to the full Aster Luxury Goods product value minus the cost of any services provided.

ITEM STORAGE

At point of order customers are asked whether they would like remnant material to be sent back, recycled or disposed of as waste to energy. Once your repurposed item is ready for dispatch we will manage remnant material in line with the preference indicated at point of order.

ACCURACY OF CONTENT

Aster Luxury Goods uses its best efforts to keep the information on the Site updated. However, it is not possible to guarantee the complete absence of errors on the Site. The information and other material published on this Site may include inaccuracies or typographical errors. We have made reasonable efforts to ensure that product information is accurate and to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products.

Aster Luxury Good does not warrant that the functions contained in the Site or any materials or content contained therein will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Site or the server that makes it available is free of viruses or other harmful components. Aster Luxury Goods shall not be liable for the use of the Site, including, without limitation, the content and any errors contained therein.

Each product and service purchased is sold subject to its product description, All product descriptions and images are for display purposes only and may not always represent the finished product.

We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the website as up to date as possible, the information including product and service descriptions appearing on this website at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order.

PRICES

The price of the goods you order is the price that is displayed on the Site at the time you confirm your order and will be confirmed by e-mail. All prices are in £ (GBP), inclusive of VAT.

If you cancel the order of a non-bespoke item, we will refund or re-credit you for the sum that has been debited from your account. If, however, you cancel a bespoke design service on which work has already started, you will be refunded the amount paid after deducting any costs incurred up to and including the date of cancellation.

ONLINE ORDERS – NON-BESPOKE PRODUCTS

Orders for non-bespoke products can be cancelled up to 14 days from receipt of payment and returned to us for a full refund. If an order is cancelled goods must be returned to us in a re-sellable condition. The cost of return postage is covered by the customer

ONLINE ORDERS – BESPOKE PRODUCTS

Orders for bespoke products can be cancelled within 14 days from receipt of order. The amount refunded will be the total amount paid less the costs of any design, postage or customisation work that has already been incurred. Should the materials sent in wish to be returned then the cost of return postage would be covered by the customer.

PAYMENT

Aster Luxury Goods accepts payments using Paypal which accepts most major credit and debit cards. Payment must be made in £. Please refer to the Privacy Policy posted in the Site for further information regarding internet fraud and secure payment.

SALE CONTRACT

Aster Luxury Goods reserves the right to refuse an order, wholly or partially.

DELIVERY

We will use all reasonable efforts to deliver our services within the timescales indicated on the individual order confirmation to the User. Such timescales are not guaranteed delivery times and should not be relied upon.

We only ship via Royal Mail. We always require someone to sign off for delivery. You accept that a delivery is signed-off for by a person other than the User, provided that such person is present at the indicated address and an adult of 18 years or over.

If there is no one present at the time of delivery, you will be asked to contact Royal Mail to arrange an alternative delivery date.

WARRANTY

Aster Luxury Goods offers an additional 3-month warranty on all products sold. This warranty covers faults only and does not cover damage caused in use by the customer or wear-and-tear. Faults will be repaired, if possible, by our craftspeople.

We are careful in our design and cutting to make the most of all the material we have – to firstly limit the amount of waste material.

For all material by-products that are created in our process, we ensure that this is processed in a way that creates energy. We pay for our waste to be processed as “energy from waste” to avoid it adding to landfill.

We believe in full transparency in how products are priced and who is involved in every part of the process. This is to allow customers to know that products are being sourced as much as is possible locally within the UK, that people involved at every stage are paid at least the real living wage and that production is kept within the UK.

Nothing about the process in Aster is large scale. Everything is custom made and hand cut which is why the product sizes are approximations. We believe that true luxury is knowing where products are made, who makes them and knowing they have been made by people receiving a fair wage with good working conditions.

Whatever the true cost – the mark-up will then be 2-3 X’s. We believe this is fair, honest and represents good value when compared to traditional retailers who mark-up on average 5-6 X’s.

We source many of our materials for the outers of our products from charity shops. If items look like they are still on trend and are likely to be worn or used – we leave them be. Re-using clothing in its original form is the best re-cycling we can all do. We look for items that are less likely to be bought to wear but are still in excellent condition.
